Disconnect to Reconnect

The Family, and Barnard Island groups all offer unique private camping experiences.

Perhaps you want a Castaway experience, we can drop you on the island with everything you need. Or maybe you are more of the glamping type and want to waltz into your prepared campsite. No worries, let us sweat the small stuff and fine details.

What to Expect

It’s important to understand that this is camping, not glamping in prefabricated, permanent tents with staff behind the tree line.  We drop you off on an island and come back and get you at the agreed upon time.

You are responsible for setting up camp and cooking all your meals.

It is very remote and can be very private.  However the islands are all National Parks and there may be day trippers that visit.  And being that they are National Parks fires and drones are prohibited.

You are off grid yet there is mobile phone coverage as long as you are not with Vodaphone.  There is no Vodaphone coverage in this region.

There is no running water or sewage. You will use a bush toilet, we provide a shovel and toilet paper, and there are no bathing facilities.

Because of this we recommend 2 or 3 night stays. Longer stays are possible, just contact us to discuss your plans.

Weather

It’s camping so you should always have a plan B.

Safety of our guests and crew is our number one priority.  Island camping requires a beach landing and our parameters for a safe beach landing is a sea state of less than 0.5m. We reserve the right to change islands or cancel your experience if we are unable to make a safe beach landing and refund your deposit as per our terms and conditions.
